What We Know:

  • Emergencies happen and families living on the edge of poverty are less likely to be able to sustain themselves through crisis
  • In difficult economic times, more families are at risk.

United Way's Response:

Help in Crisis - programs that provide a hand up during a life crisis such as food, housing or disaster relief.

Remove Barriers - programs that allow people to be self-sufficient and feel free from harm.
