United Way of Southwest Michigan has set a 2009 campaign goal of $2.6 million. The ambitious goal is what is needed to fund the grants approved to more than 29 agencies by community volunteers last month.

United Way of Southwest Michigan to Distribute $153,221 in Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Grants

United Way of Southwest Michigan announced today that it is accepting funding proposals from Berrien County agencies for Phase 27 of the Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP/FEMA).

Completed requests for funding must be received by the United Way office no later than 12:00 noon (no exceptions), January 26, 2009.
