I got involved with United Way because I want a better community. I want more kids to graduate from high school, more families to be financially stable and all my neighbors to live healthier lives.
United Way focuses on Education, Income and Health – the building blocks of a good life. Helping youth get a quality education that leads to a stable job, helping adults secure the skills necessary to earn enough income to support a family through retirement and helping the entire community to improve their health.
That’s what United Way is doing in our community and that’s exciting. So, I talk about it. I tell other business leaders and encourage them to get involved. I tell my friends, my co-workers.
If there is something good to talk about and get involved in, why wouldn’t you tell others? That’s why I advocate for the work of the United Way of Southwest Michigan.
I’m MaryJo Tomasini and that’s how I Live United.
