Nothing can stop United Way of Southwest Michigan from celebrating YOU!

Confronted with challenges, we find solutions. Because that’s just what the problem-solving people of Southwest Michigan do.

In light of developing public health concerns, United Way of Southwest Michigan plans to bring its annual Celebration to the community in creative fashion.

Originally scheduled to have been held on Thursday, March 19 at the Grand Upton Hall at Lake Michigan College, UWSM’s Celebration will take a different form, never tried before, in deference to the guidelines of public health officials, at a later date. While physical social distancing is important at this time, there are safe ways to stay connected and share, which United Way plans to put to use.

United Way staff are busy at work crafting a unique experience to acknowledge the generosity of our donors and the impact made in our community in 2019—as we look to the future of United Way’s service in Southwest Michigan.

“When you look at the example of this year’s award winners—the outstanding corporate partners and the stellar individuals—about how to step up and lead, commit with passion and determination, and overcome obstacles to advance the common good, we at United Way won’t do anything less in finding ways to acknowledge them for it,” said Anna Murphy, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Michigan. “2019 was a banner year—we saw how unstoppable our community is—it deserves the best treatment we can give it.”

Where, when, and how Celebration will take place are being determined, and details will be forthcoming as soon as they become available.
