Whirlpool Appliance Sale returns to Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor Sept. 25-26

Proceeds benefit the 2021 Whirlpool Employee United Way Campaign.

The Whirlpool Appliance Sale is back! Over 350 appliances will be offered to the public at deeply discounted prices at the former Carson’s store at Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor.

On Saturday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., find Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid, JennAir, and Whirlpool brand ovens, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, and dryers at significant savings. There will also be small quantities of microwaves, hoods, cooktops, wall ovens, laundry centers (dryer on top of washer), and freestanding freezers. All major appliances are new, with a full one-year warranty.

Gladiator and KitchenAid small appliances will also be offered at exclusive prices.

The Whirlpool Appliance Sale was moved to the Orchards Mall location in 2019 to accommodate more sale items and to be more convenient with its ample parking and easy accessibility from I-94.

“You’ll see tremendous discounts on some incredible appliances. You’ll save—and impact our local community with your purchase,” said Gokul Nair, Whirlpool’s Global IT Director and member of United Way of Southwest Michigan’s Board of Directors. Nair has been a long-time leader of the sale.

All products purchased must be picked up during sale hours. For an additional $100 donation per appliance, home deliveries will be available within a 15-mile radius. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment. No checks will be accepted. There will be no early sales.

For the safety of our community, masks will be required to shop the sale, and social distancing, including limiting the number of shoppers inside the store at one time, will be maintained.

For years, the Appliance Sale has been a significant fundraiser for the Whirlpool Employee United Way Campaign. The sale was on hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic. Previously it was a biannual event.
