LANSING, MICH. – United Way of Southwest Michigan today participated in the statewide launch of a new storytelling campaign, “United We Will,” to share its COVID-19 response stories and the efforts of United Ways across the state amid COVID-19. The stories can be viewed at www.unitedwewillmi.org.

The investment of $150,000 is the largest single one-time investment UWSM has made in over a decade.

United Way of Southwest Michigan is honored to announce that its Senior Director of Impact Strategies, Amanda Drew, has been selected to participate in the prestigious United Way Worldwide Fellowship Program. This leadership program is an accelerated year-long development experience designed for core leaders of United Way that have demonstrated results and capacity to lead United Way and support our communities.

United Way of Southwest Michigan’s annual “Christmas in June” food drive for local pantries kicks off today to benefit 38 pantries in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties.

United Way of Southwest Michigan is seeking nominations for the Volunteer United Youth Scholarship Award. The Volunteer United Youth Scholarship Award recognizes one self-nominated winner from each of the three counties in our area: Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren, who has demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism through innovation, dedication, and advocacy for community improvement throughout their high school career.
