SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Now in its 14th year, Rake A Difference – A Day of Action for Seniors will take place on November 14, 2024.  Teams of volunteers go to the homes of senior citizens (age 60+) who live in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties to rake and bag leaves, clean gutters and deliver personal care kits.  The seniors served are physically unable to perform yard work for themselves and they cannot afford to pay for services.  This event enables them to maintain their yard/property in preparation for winter and stay in their own homes longer, all while keeping seniors safe.  In addition, 50% of seniors served are either military veterans or spouses of military veterans.

Last year, we were able to serve 353 seniors through the work of 136 teams comprised of 1,340 volunteers who provided 7,370 volunteer hours for a value of $234,366 throughout Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.
